 Stanley College is one of WA’s largest and most awarded Registered Training   Organisations. We have been training in Early Childhood Education and Care since   2012 and have produced over 540 graduates, with most of these having begun   careers in this vital industry.

CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
(Up to 36 Months)


New and Existing Worker Trainees
learn the fundamentals of providing care and education for babies, infants and young children, and how to help plan and implement educational programs for supporting their wellbeing.


New and Existing Worker Trainees 
learn to provide care and plan, implement and manage programs for children aged 0 to 5 years, in accordance with Australian licensing, accreditation and regulation, duty of care requirements and to manage staff and volunteers. This qualification is for people who have already achieved the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Workplace Training

Trainees learn while they work on your premises, for 20 hours per week.

online self study

Online Self Study

The student will complete 8 hours per month of online self-study.

On Campus Training*

The student will complete 8 hours per month on campus learning at Stanley College.

Fee Free

(1) New Worker Trainees: This is someone that has been working for an employer for less than three months full-time equivalent.
(2) Existing Worker Trainees: This is someone that has worked for an employer for more than three months full-time equivalent.
#Students that enrol through the Fee Free Program on or before 31 December 2024, are entitled to the fee-free arrangement each year over the entire duration of the course.

* The annual maximum course fees (cap) for these courses are:

  • Concession: $400 (to be eligible for the course cap, students must have concession status)
  • Non-Concession (Youth): $400 (to be eligible for the course cap, students must be aged 15-24 years old)
  • Non-Concession: $1200

Student Tuition Fee
The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as resource fees and other fees. These must be charged in accordance with the Fees and Charges Policy. Eligibility criteria apply. Prices as per the VET Fees and Charges Policy 2024.

Fee Waiver
Student fees may be waived for applicants with severe financial hardship.

Concession Eligibility Status

The following students are eligible for a concession rate on fees (for training up to Certificate IV level):

  • Persons and dependants of persons holding:
    •  Pensioner Concession Card; OR
    • a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs; OR
    • a Health Care Card
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
  • Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
  • Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school


Please note:
 Concession rates do not apply to Existing Worker Trainees or Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses (unless otherwise specified). 


Traineeships Eligibility

A person wishing to undertake Traineeship training:

  • should be at least 15 years of age (for applicants under 15 years old, conditions apply);
  • must be an Australian citizen or hold an Australian visa that will support the employment and study arrangements specified in the training contract (valid for the duration of the training contract); and
  • must be in or entering part time or full time employment with an employer (rather than being a casual employee or self employed)
